Elephant is a worrier, a pessimist. Piggie is an optimist, always ready for fun. When a bird lands on Elephants head one day, neither one of them could have imagined what would happen next.
Hilarious, with unexpected plot turns, and thoroughly charming. Willems’ art is simple, but immensely expressive. Font and layout are clear—wonderful for new readers. All the text is purely dialogue between Elephant and Piggie, an interesting concept, which lends itself well to creative voicing and exuberant out-loud reading.
