I am completely bonkers for Wildsmith’s incredible 1960’s art.  Beyond stunning and inspired.  Get your hands on any book he’s illustrated and check out his site for more info:

A funny tale that can be equally enjoyed by monster truck enthusiast and bunny lovers alike.

A clever mouse must outwit a hungry weasel in order to avoid becoming his dinner.  Another hilarious classic from Arnold Lobel.

A home-schooled 5th grader, born with facial deformities, enters traditional school for the first time.  Told with grace and heart by Palacio—tears of sadness and joy may follow.

The classic sure to delight.  A house-painter who dreams of polar explorations finds himself unexpectedly the steward of a dozen penguins.  A perfect nightly read-a-loud for 5-10 yr olds.

A distinguished and adventurous mouse sets off to find his place in the world.

A classic not to be missed!  Fearless, irrepressible, irreverent–the original wild child, Pippi is as endearing as ever.  She will have you beside yourself in laughter and lining up to be her new best friend.

We read the version illustrated by Lauren Child (pictured above, yellow cover), whose whimsical style will be familiar to Charlie and Lola fans.
